commuter challenge

Commuter Challenge Reminder....
Hamiltonians are invited to participate in various events throughout the city during Commuter Challenge week June 1-5.

Make a Change Monday encourages Hamilton residents to make a commitment to an alternative mode of transportation and to register their participation at
www.hamilton.ca/commuterchallenge
if they already haven’t done so. On Tuesday, the Transportation Fair and Smart Com mute Expo takes place at Downtown Hamilton’s Gore Park from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Wednesday is Walk to Work Day and Walk to School Day along with a 1.2km walk starting at noon from Gore Park to the Jackson Square Plaza. Thursday is Totally Transit Day when registered participants wearing the official Smart Commute Hamilton wristband can ride the HSR bus system for free all day. The week is rounded out with Bike to Work Day on Friday that includes designated routes from various locations around the city to downtown Hamilton.

Workplaces and individuals are encouraged to sign up today for the Commuter Challenge or to get further information at www.hamilton.ca/commuterchallenge
